Re-opening delayed until 2nd August

With the national lockdown easing being moved from 21st June to 19th July at the earliest we have made the decision to delay reopening of the club until 2nd August.

Whilst we could have opened on 5th June as planned we would have had to conform to various restrictions during the meetings and making sure everything would work within the legal framework would have been a bit of a chore. The delay of less than a month in re-opening seemed a perfectly reasonable thing to do when you consider that once we do re-open there would be no restrictions in place at all.

So the first Monday meeting will be on the 2nd of August and the first Wednesday meeting will be on 11th of August.

Fingers crossed that I won't be posting again of another delay!

Corona Virus Update - Possible Re-opening?

Well that lockdown was a lot longer than 2 weeks! It's weird now looking back. How naïve we were!

Anyway, we have now had word from the Parish Centre that they hope to reopen soon. As such we have booked dates for meetings starting on 5th July, every Monday and every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, excepting any Bank Holidays. This is as it was before this whole madness started. I have updated the Meetings Dates page with this info.

It is unknown at this time as to what, if any, restrictions there will be at the meetings, but we'll keep you posted.

So here's hoping we'll be back to gaming again soon!

Corona Virus Update - Parish Centre Closed

We've just heard from the Parish Centre that they will be on lockdown for two weeks.

This means that the meetings on 23rd, 25th and 30th March will all be cancelled.

We will let you know more details as regards re-opening the club as well know them.

COGS Participation Games at Hammerhead

COGS will be running no less than three participation game tables at the Hammerhead show this weekend!

Blücher Demo Game at Fiasco 2019

We'll be running our Battle of Vyazma Demo Game at Fiasco 2019 this coming Sunday (27th October).

This is a 6mm scale Napoleonic game using the Blücher rules. There are more details on the game over on my blog.

Gaslands Participation Game - Barrage Wargames Show - Stafford - 8th July

Today I've been getting the car cards ready for our Gaslands participation game at the Barrage Wargames Show (Stafford UK) next Sunday (8th July).

The game will be a drop-in-and-play Deathmatch. Select a random vehicle and join in the mayhem until you crash and burn...

The idea is to keep the same game running all day, with a quick turn-around of turns and cars. But to do that we need players! So please pop in and play!

Hammerhead Show Rescheduled to April 28th

Due to local adverse weather the police have closed access to Newark Showground.

Therefore Hammerhead has been re-scheduled for 28th April 2018.
