DIRECTIONS TO THE WINDING WHEEL THEATRE

FROM M1 Junction 29
Take the main route (dual carriageway) towards Chesterfield. As you reach each roundabout continue to follow the signs into Chesterfield itself. You will eventually find yourself on Holywell Street itself and you will even pass the main entrance of the Winding Wheel on your right after which you will reach the Island car park. Being Sunday there will undoubtedly be a large car boot sale on it. Go right around the Island car park as you would a roundabout and take the 4th exit (Durrant Road). Almost immediately off this road turn right on to surprise, surprise Durrant Road. This takes you up behind the Shops of Holywell Street. For the paying public there are a number of easy-access car parks located around here. There is a multi-storey car park off the island but beware, because this closes early on a Sunday.

For Traders and Exhibitors only: Go right around the Island car park as you would a roundabout and take the 4th exit (Durrant Road). Almost immediately off this road turn right on to Durrant Road. Then turn right immediately after the Pay and Display Car Park on the right hand side of the road, this will take you up a small rise, bear to the left and this will take you into the Winding Wheel car park to the rear of the building. Please note that there is no longer access to the car park for vehicles to the front of the Winding Wheel.

FROM M1 Junction 30
Take the main route towards Chesterfield. Do not deviate. This takes you through Staveley and Brimington where you will pass a large crematorium/cemetery to your left. Just past the Speed Camera take the left hand turn. This will bring you eventually to a mini-roundabout with Trebor Bassett to your right. Turn right up the hill and keep left. Just before the top of the hill you will see a left-hand turn into Durrant road. There are a number of easy access car parks down this road.

For Traders and Exhibitors, turn left onto Durrant Road, then turn right immediately after the Pay and Display Car Park on the right hand side of the road, this will take you up a small rise, bear to the left and this will take you into the Winding Wheel car park to the rear of the building. Please note that there is no longer access to the car park for vehicles to the front of the Winding Wheel.

FROM Sheffield B6057
Follow the road into Chesterfield and you will find yourself coming on to the Island Car Park described above. Take the 1st Left turn into Durrant Road and see the panel above.

FROM Lincoln, Newark, Bolsover A632
Travel through Bolsover on the Chesterfield road and you will find yourself on the same road/direction as given from M1 J29 above.

PLEASE NOTE: Chesterfield has a growing reputation for being one of Englands Speed camera capitals particularly on the B6543 (the route from M1 J30) where there is a Camera at least every 2 miles.

LOADING/UNLOADING
As you enter Durrant Road there will be signs guiding you towards the Winding Wheel car park. We will have stewards there from 7.15am that will organise entry to the Loading area. There will be ‘chain’ gangs waiting to help you in with your goods/figures/scenery etc. Tables will have been allocated previous to the day, but should you find any problems, lack of power, space etc please let us know immediately.
