DISABLED ACCESS
Has been a personal beef with me for a long time. Unfortunately the YMCA has proven less than able to make facilities available. Now that COGS has reached a sufficient level of financial stability (the club not the members!) we have taken a step into the future.Monday night meetings
From December this year [2001], all COGS Monday meetings will take place in the Market Hall.The venue is a large hall upstairs but has, as part of the original design, the facility of a lift for those who are unable to manage stairs. As this is set in another entrance from the normal one used, we would ask that any person wishing to use this facility contact the caretaker on 01246 556536 on the night or the Winding Wheel during the day on 01246 345333. Obviously if the facility became popular, the door will be manned as required.
COGS Shows
All shows from 2001 will be held at the Winding Wheel. This facility is actually just down the road from the YMCA and has full disabled access including lifts to the upper floor should the show grow bigger.PRICE RISES
Due to the move to the Market Hall, COGS must sadly raise its Monday meeting admission to £1.50.Since the admission has not changed since the club began in 1996, we don't think that's too bad a record. This will begin with the meeting on Monday, 20th November 2000.
