CRBIn view of the recent concern over organised bodies that are involved with children and vulnerable adults, it is expected that following it's close examination of sports associations and clubs, the government will soon turn it's eyes towards other areas of the voluntary sector. COGS has already ensured that it's key committee members have received enhanced CRB's and Counter-signatory status. We have decided to provide this service for other groups that involve wargaming, RPG, CCG and similar hobbies that include minors and vulnerable adults within their membership. Chesterfield Open Gaming society has now been registered as an umbrella body for the Government CRB and has authority to process CRB registration forms for voluntary groups, clubs, societies and associations. Within the next month, we will be able to place full details and charges for this service (costs will be kept to a minimum and will cover running costs only).Any groups wishing to take advantage of this service should please contact Dave at crb@c-o-g-s.org.uk. For those wishing to deal directly with the CRB or wishing more information, please visit Dave (Chairman, COGS) |
